Can't Wait

I can't wait for Saturday. I'll be taking the second part examination for the writer position. I hope I will pass it and start immediately on Monday. Though, I don't like the position as much as the news aggregator position (plus the salary they told us was not what I expected it to be) passing the exam and having that work is enough for me. Stepping stone as my co-applicant said. This is really a stepping stone for us to be able to reach our dream position in this industry. I'm a fresh graduate and my only target now is just to have a work that is related with what I studied for four years and don't care much about the salary.

This is Reality

I just graduated April of this year. Now it's time for me to work on my dreams so they'll come into reality. Right now I'm looking for job in different broadcasting networks. But there is one network that was so good to me (the same network that I want to be in). In the span of three months I already took series of examination in this network, passed it and had the interview. On my first job interview they HR told me to wait for two weeks to know if I'm in. Unfortunately, a month already passed but I didn't hear anything from them again. Maybe because I was not a graduated that time when I had my interview. The next position I applied for was production assistant for TV Production. Again, I took the examination, passed it and had the interview but then again I didn't make it. This time they were looking for someone who has the experience in TV Production. And the third one was for a writer position. Again, for the third time, I took the examination, passed it and had the interview. The only different thing was I will be taking a examination again, they call it "copy exam." I'm just waiting for the day of the examination and hoping to pass it and be hired!

Historic Days in the Senate

After almost a month of working on my terminal report, I'm done with it.All my hard work had been paid of. Our Dean gave me a grade of 98, I really don't expect it. (I'm just expecting a grade of 97. hahaha.) Well, it exceeded my expectation. Here's a photo of my terminal report:

Getting there!!

I’m a person full of dreams, even if I know I don’t have “what it takes” to get it. I just keep on dreaming because it somehow lifts my spirit. Thinking what I want helps me forget my weaknesses. I sometimes, actually most of the time I’m day dreaming that I’ve already reached my dream, it makes me smile. As Mike Dooley said, “Thoughts become things… choose the good ones.” That’s why I’m thinking of the things I want. I’m not just thinking of it, I’m acting on it!

This is the real deal. I really want to be a reporter, newscaster, news anchor, broadcaster, broadcast journalist- whatever you want to call it I want to be like that. That is why I took AB CommArts, even if I know I am not good in English, that I am timid, that I don’t want to stand before an audience, that I don’t want to mingle in a crowd - all my qualities are not qualities of what I want to be. But still I muster all the guts to be a Communication Arts student and now I’m on my third year and I’m on my internship.

I’m grateful that I was assigned to the Senate. What makes the Editor-in-chief to put me there? (aside from her husband is my handler) I’ve proven nothing yet. Perhaps she sensed that I like politics. Now I’m covering national issues. I’ve attended two hearings regarding the Fertilizer Scam. I’m lucky! I’m lucky because this is my first assignment and I’m covering Senate hearings and not street fights.

Am I getting there? I think I am.
